Taryn Noelle Eisenberg
(Stage Name: Taryn Noelle)
“Luminous, Evocative, Poignant and Soulful” are words one may hear
along the way to learning about this young vocalist, actor,
dancer and choreographer.
Born in Toronto, Canada she began her artistic life as a
competitive rhythmic gymnast. After leaving the bright lights
of Toronto life behind, she and her family settled in Vermont.
It was then during her middle and high school years where she
discovered and cultivated her crafts in theatre and dance,
focusing mainly on musical theatre. She credits a great deal
of her early experience and growth to studying with acclaimed
vocal teacher, Bill Reed. “I feel very lucky to have grown up
in an environment such as this. I’ve always been incredibly
old fashioned, in part yearning for the culture and refinement
of the city but needing the warmth and quiet of a life in the
country. I found that in the Vermont Arts Scene, the marriage
of both worlds.”
With growing aspirations and curiosity about a life as a true
artist, the inevitable “City” did start to make its beckoning call.
With the help and support of countless teachers, fellow artists,
friends and family, Taryn finally landed in New York City
where she spent two years studying theatre at the renowned Circle in the Square Theatre School. “Those years at
Circle were two of the toughest and most important of my life.
Looking back at all that I experienced there, all that I gained
and learned, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.”
Since completing her studies at Circle in the Square in June of
2004, Taryn spent much of last year training as a ballroom and
latin dancer, and embarked into the world of jazz & cabaret music.
Later in 2005, Taryn spent her summer in the utopian town of
New Harmony, Indiana, doing a classic Irving Berlin/Moss Hart
show “As Thousands Cheer”. “That was a one in a million job.
The place, the people involved, the material. All of it was like a
great tip of the hat to so many generations of classic old summer
stock days gone by.”
Now on yet a new path of artistic discovery, Taryn launched her debut CD “On My Way to You” in December, 2005. “It’s the culmination of all my first loves, in music. At the center of my heart beats the swoons, swells and swing of the 30’s and 40’s. Surrounding the edges, are some of the great moments in blues, folk and rock. Signed, sealed, delivered…….you get her spin and stamp on the old meets the new. An old fashioned girl with a heart in generations gone by, and an eye on all that lies ahead.
